Workshop Overview

With the widespread adoption of industrial robots, digital fabrication and robotic construction technologies have opened up new realms of imagination for architects, allowing them to engage more directly in the building process and driving innovation in architectural creation. Centered on the theme of “Robotic Tectonics,” this event is hosted by the Academic Innovation Center for Coastal Human Settlements at Qingdao University of Technology, and brings together leading scholars, experts, and renowned architectural design firms from around the world to explore robotic construction technologies that are becoming the new norm in the architecture industry, as well as the emerging challenges and opportunities they present.
