Workshop Overview

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and the widespread application of industrial robotics, the integration of generative AI with robotic construction has opened up unprecedented possibilities in the digital design, fabrication, and intelligent assembly of architecture. These emerging technologies not only expand the scope of architectural imagination but also enable architects to engage more directly in the construction process, thereby advancing innovation in architectural practice.
Anchored by Innovation institute for Sustainable Maritime Architecture Research and Technology (iSMART) of Qingdao University of Technology (QUT), this event—under the theme of “Robotic Intelligent Construction”—brings together distinguished experts, scholars, and leading architectural design firms from around the world. It aims to explore cutting-edge robotic construction technologies that are expected to become mainstream in the architecture industry, and to examine the new challenges and opportunities they present for design and building processes.
